Hi, I’m Norman Cho and I’ve just started doing stand-up comedy. This is where I’ll be recording my journey to comedy hell and back.

Well. Seven months in…how’s it going?
I started in March.

Not bad. Crashed and burned on my first paid gig. When I do well, I storm the gig, when I suck, I suck hard. The problem is consistency. What about you?

I am staying away from anything other than open mic and working on other people’s gigs for a year to tighten up my material. I have a decent career in the construction industry, which makes everything easier…to just work on sets here and there.

Where are you based? I gig about twice a week which in London makes me a lightweight. I do it as much for the social life as anything else. Comics generally tend to be intelligent, curious and perceptive people, most so than most. I need to really focus if I want to take a step up and start doing 10 minute sets regularly for money. What about you? Future plans?
